If my computer’s “word count” is correct, there are more than 28,000 words in BP’s recently released sustainability review.
The problem is, outside of the communications staff, and a battery of attorneys, I wonder who will read them all?
Kudos to BP for understanding that “change” needed to be the central message to its 2010 review, and the company does outline seven pivotal areas of change upon which it is focusing.
But, ultimately, BP must be judged by its actions not its assertions.
I added the sarcastic “We Blew It… ” headline to the report cover (above) as a joke. But perhaps those simple words would have made the 28,000+ words that followed more credible.
