I’m working on a case study for school that takes place in 1975, and all the solutions need to reflect the technology of the time.
That means no computers, Internet or e-mail, of course. And no cell phones, iPhones or Blackberries.
But it also means no faxes (for the most part). Limited courier service. And, as I discovered, it’s unlikely that businesses even had answering machines, which didn’t take off until years later.
If you were lucky, you could send a Telex, which was a teletype service that many large companies used.
So the question is: How did people get things done in 1975? Oh I forgot, that’s what I’m supposed to figure out.
