Remember the old saw: If you say you’re cool, you’re not?
Perhaps the folks in Silicon Valley haven’t. Or maybe I’m just not in on the joke.
Some former Google-ites are launching a new search engine that will be called Cuill (prononunced “cool”).
A leading technology blog explains that Cuill “can index web pages significantly faster and cheaper than Google can.”
Great for investors, I suppose. But what’s in it for you and me? And how can Cuill begin to compete against the Google brand (the most powerful brand in the world, according to one study)?
I guess we’ll all have to stay tuned. Even Microsoft looked invicible at one time, right?
