I mentioned Google’s multimillionaire masseuse in my blog yesterday. Time staff writer Lisa Takeuchi Cullen reminds us that stock options can be worthless just as easily, too.
In her own blog, “Work in Progress,” Takeuchi Cullen aims some razor-sharp barbs at her employer, saying Time Warner employees were “rooked” by AOL and the stock options she received were “trash.”
Her conclusion: “I’ll never again accept options in lieu of tangible compensation. Sure there’s a chance I’d hit the lottery, like Bonnie Brown. But I shouldn’t have to gamble on getting paid.”
