If you’re looking for a feel-good way to procrastinate today, check out FreeRice.com.
The site is a fun and easy-to-play vocabulary game with a philanthropic twist—for every word you get right, Free Rice donates 10 grains of rice through the UN to end world hunger.
Yesterday, more than 48 million grains of right answers were recorded by the advertiser-supported game. (Up from 830 when it launched on October 7.)
FreeRice.com says it has up to 50 levels of difficulty, but “it is rare for people to get above level 48.”
Don’t even ask how high I got. Who knew that “kine” was another word for cows? I guess I should have just consulted my post from yesterday—or my dog—for the right answer.
